01 Who we are

parea.cy is a community platform operated from Cyprus. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

02 Age

You must be at least 18 to create an account. Minors are not allowed. If we find a false age declaration or an underage user, the account is deleted.

03 Your account

You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account. Give accurate details and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

04 What is not allowed

Prohibited: harassment, threats, hate speech, spam, fraud, impersonation, posting other people's personal data without consent, illegal or sexual content, and any automated scraping.

Promoting business / commercial activity via messages or posts outside the platform’s official advertising options is also prohibited. Accounts may be restricted. Everyone is asked to use the advertising solutions the platform offers.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, without notice where the risk is immediate.

05 Message safety and checks

We use automated detectors on messages that may point to criminal activity or harmful behaviour — for example: harassment, theft/phishing attempts, financial fraud, external links, phone numbers, and similar content that puts members at risk.

In such cases (and for user reports) management may review the related messages and limited surrounding context. Flagged/reported messages are kept for up to 3 months for safety and investigation; we may restrict or close an account and, where there are serious indications, cooperate with the competent authorities.

06 Your content

What you post stays yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to display it inside the platform so the service can work. That licence ends when you delete the content.

07 Credits and gifts

Credits are virtual items, not money, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Virtual gifts have no value outside the platform.

For digital content delivered immediately, the 14-day right of withdrawal ends once you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge this. Have a lawyer review this paragraph — it is one of the easiest to get wrong.

08 Supporter subscription

The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing period; the period already paid is not refunded.

09 Meeting safety

Meeting other members is at your own risk. Optional profile verification (via a third-party provider) helps deter bots/impersonation but does not guarantee meeting safety. Please read our safety guidance before meeting anyone.

10 Private messages and personal data

Do not move to links outside the platform and do not give your address, phone number, full name or other sensitive personal information to people you do not know.

Planning outings or any other activity is entirely by your own arrangement and is not organized by the platform management.

If you choose to share personal information, you do so at your own risk and the social networking platform bears no liability.

Management does not monitor private chats. Message content is reviewed only after a report (ticket), for safety and abuse handling.

11 Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages. Nothing limits our liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury.

12 Changes and termination

We may change these terms. We will tell you about material changes at least 30 days in advance. You can delete your account at any time.

13 Governing law

Cypriot law applies and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction, without affecting the consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
